On my previous blog, that I had to delete, I had a post on 27 September 09 of a lady I had to photograph that was meant to be for a book cover. Here is some of the photos that we took that day, my favourite is the last one:

I’m happy to say that the book got published and I received my copy last night. It’s a small poetry book with the title “Stare into Darkness” written by Gerhard Calitz.
It actually feels a bit weird looking at the book, and seeing a photograph on the cover that I took, but it’s all good…
Below is the published book plus the photo I took that they used.
They did all the editing to fit with the theme of the book, I just took the photos, and I think it doesn’t look too bad.
So thank you Gerhard for the opportunity to have my work published..
Great stuff Eugene!
Thanks you!! Will show you the book when I visit again!!
Very cool. Very dark! Congrats.
Thank you!! and thank you for visiting!!
Congratulations! I know what a kick it is to have one’s work accepted and appreciated. Great photos, by the way. Very haunting and unique. I love what you’re doing with shadow and light.
Thank you so much for the comment, and thank you for visiting!
Hey my dear friend, I responded to your comment on my last post and LOVED ALL the comment you left. You can read what I wrote about them. SO so so good to connect again.
I remember these photos from your other site. I LOVED the drama and emotion of the photos. It IS wild to finally see your photo on the book cover. WOW!! Although the cover is B&W it still REALLY conveys that intensity of emotion that YOU captured in the original photo. Like “NothingProfound” said above: I too like what you do with shadow and light. It’s what I liked about your own B&W avatar. It grabs me every time I see it. You are exceedingly talented. It takes a gifted artist to see and capture the emotion in a face, an animal or Life itself. Remember your zoo animals…WOW…you did that same with them. So emotional.
BTW, I hope your air conditioner is working….
Just a thought..
Hugs,
Robin LOLOL!!
Hi Robin..
Thank for the beautiful comment. It is still kind of weird to look at the book and see my photo. But it’s nice too see too..
What makes me the saddest about my blog that I had to delete was that I lost all your comments that you left for me on there.. But I guess everything happens for a reason, think I’ll go into a new direction with this blog. Don’t know what direction yet, will wait for the map
Nope, the saddest thing is I don’t have and air conditioner.. I rely on open windows and open doors, and pray for a little breeze to pass through there… LOL
Will go read your comment now, sorry I spammed your blog with all my comments at once, but I had some catching up to do.. LOL
Excellent and conratz!!
I have a passion for black and white photography so the last one definitely touched me as well.
Thanks you, it’s my favourite!!!
Thanks for visiting and the comment!!
