The Biggest bird found in gardens where I live, well at least the biggest I’ve ever seen, grows up to 76cm long.
They eat all the insects, but makes a loud, LOUD noise!! Especially when they are 3 or 4 in a group screaming!!

They do look very peaceful, until their peace is disturbed, they make a huge amount of noise!!!

I used to live in Durban so I know the noise they make…. in the middle of winter here, when I hear no birds except the bossy blue jays, I even miss the hadidas’ cries! LOL
LOL, where do you live now? I had one on my roof this morning, I think he thought he was a rooster!!! And my dog ( I think she is a bit smaller than a Hadida,) chases them!!
